    Birds Aviary

    Birds Aviary is situated in Lake View Park of Islamabad. Birds Aviary is spread over an area of 3.8 acres. This Bird Aviary was inaugurated by the prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in 2013. Birds Aviary has almost over 4000 birds of around 280 species. This Birds Aviary is the main attraction for the visitors visiting Lake View Park. This Birds Aviary is said to be the third largest aviary in the world. It has many birds including doves, pigeons, swan, ducks, geese, pheasant, cranes, crown cranes, ostriches, and parrots. This Birds Aviary also has the white cockatoo and green-winged macaw which are the most favorite of visitors and children. These birds are kept in cages which have a lot of capacity so that these birds can live and fly freely in their home. These cages also have the facility for the visitors to roam in it and see these beautiful birds in front of their eyes. There is also a small lake inside this park, where visitors can see birds swimming. According to the survey, around 1 million of visitors visit this aviary every year.     Doha Zoo

    Doha Zoo is located 15 kilometres out of Doha city on the Salwa Road south, in the industrial area near the Equestrian Club. Look for Al Furousiya Street, Salwa Road South.Doha Zoo houses over 1500 animals from around the world.The collection includes oryx, giraffes, elephants, baboons and zebras.Many of the animals, with the help of their trainers, give frequent live shows to enthusiastic audiences. The elephant performance should not be missed. The zoo has a cafetaria and children's play area located within its 4.2 hectare grounds. A trip to the zoo makes a great weekend excursion for both children and adults. Note that Tuesday afternoons are for ladies and children only.The opening hours are 8 am until Noon and 3.30 pm until 8.30 pm.Other than the Oryx Farm in in the Al Shahaniya region of central Qatar Doha Zoo is the only venue where visitors can view animals in captivity.Visitors need a special permit from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture to visit the Oryx Farm. It is probably easier to go through a tour operator.

    Islamabad Zoo

    Islamabad Zoo previously Marghazar Zoo, is an 82-acre (33 ha) zoo in Islamabad Capital Territory. It was opened in 1978, and is under the administration of Capital Development Authority of Pakistan The zoo started in 1978 as a refuge for leopards, spotted deer, and Indian gazelle found in the region, and is administered by Capital Development Authority of Pakistan. Located in the feet of Margalla hill.[1] It soon gained popularity and became a part of the Japanese garden. An aviary was later constructed. The Capital Development Authority devised a plan in August 2008 to upgrade and extend the zoo as a recreational area and wildlife sanctuary. The estimated cost of the project is 1407.8 million Pakistani rupees. Islamabad Zoo is situated at the base of Margalla Hills. Way to Daman-e-Koh & Pir Sohawa just passes the zoo. It is located near Children Play Land. Pir Sohawa Road, Islamabad, Pakistan
