Marghazar is a slope station situated in Swat District of khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan at a separation of 13 kilometers far from Saidu Sharif. Marghazar, truly signifies “green area”, is truly so with green valleys, forested mountains, satisfying environment, cool water springs above which is Koh-e-Elam; heap of 10,000 feet tallness with thick timberland, springs, meadows.[1] This was the reason that the then King (Wali of Swat), Miangul Abdul Wadud chose to construct a late spring habitation there for himself. He made a royal residence there in 1940 which was the late spring capital of Swat (regal state). The castle was named as Sufed Mahal or The White Palace. This royal residence is presently changed over into a hotel.[2][3] Marghazar is a valley of vacation destinations in the mid year. Ruler Elizabeth II went to Marghazar in 1961 and stayed here for three days.[1] There is a 200-year-old enormous chinar tree, serving as a shade for the guests. There is a center school and one grade school for young men and young ladies each yet no wellbeing unit.
