Parks & Horticulture Authority

Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) is a government body of Lahore district that is responsible to look after plantation and parks in Lahore. This was established in September 1998. The main responsibilities of this authority are to develop and maintain public parks, green belts, green areas and to install the billboards and sky signs and to establish and maintain botanical gardens and to organize shows and functions which depicts the cultural entertainment and to protect trees and other vegetation. The main motto of this authority is “To Make Lahore Look Greener, Cleaner, and Brighter”. The sub-departments of this organization are Administration, Finance, Marketing, Coordination, Monitoring and Operation, Planning and Development, Engineering, and Horticulture. The main projects completed by this organization up till now are Samanbad Sports Arena, Horticulture Work, Butterfly Garden and Toparies Garden. This organization has done a lot of work in Lahore and is planning to continue this work in future too. This is the reason Lahore looks so green and beautiful. Flower Bed at Jilani Park is one of the gems of Lahore that is created under this authority. This authority has planted many plants and flowers in Lahore with an eye-catching art.
