Its a very big and beautiful lake. It comes on the way when you are going to Babusar Top / Chilas from Naran. Its a natural water reservoir collecting water from the surrounding mountains and then releasing it in form of Kunar river, main river of the valley. So its actually the mother lake which is responsible for creation of Kaghan valley. It’s quite big in size. The lake along with the surrounding mountains indeed make a spectacular sight. The only reason this lake is not as famous as Saif ul Malook is cuz its not that easily accessible. Though its not that difficult either as many people suggest it is. Its 3 hours drive away from Naran and most of the road is a bit rocky. But jeeps can be hired easily from Naran and with an experienced driver behind the wheel and such beautiful scenery on view in the way, the inconvenience actually turns into fun. Since boat rides are not available, take a flammable boat with you If possible and use it in the lake. I didnt do it but having seen the place, i know that the boat ride in the lake is going to be awesome. Also, 1 hour drive ahead of the lake is Babusar Top. Situated at a height of 3,500 meters, its the last spot of Kaghan valley. From there onwards, Chilas (Gilgit Baltistan) starts. Its a MUST visit a place as well with truly breathtaking Kaghan scenery.
