General of Ranjit Singh, Who was made governor of Lahore by Pashton kings of Afghanistan as Afghania province extended from Kabul to Delhi, the capital of Indian subcontinent before Brittish Raj 1857, Afghani was one of 4 province that was part of India subcontinent under Durrani Afghan kings and Mughals as a joint rule ..
Ranjit Singh rebelled under patronage of East India company that provided , 15 British and European officers to Ranjit Singh to make an Army of Punjabis that would fight the Pashtons and block their access to India via Khyber Pass , hence the chief of Ranjit Singh army was sent here to make small forte to block the Khyber Pass, and this sort was made by the chief Hari Singh nalwa to block the Durrani Pashtun and also Mughals who both came from Afghanistan to rule India for thousands of years …
Ranjit made an agreement with British called Amritsar agreement to not to fight British and only fight the Pashtuns … But Ranjit Singh army was completely destroyed here in Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan area and his chief General was killed here in Jamrood by a Yousafzai soldier via an arrow that hit him while riding a horse at this same spot where his grave is , and his body was cremated here according to Sikh traditions and according to some local soldiers stationed at the jamrud fort where this grave is on moonlight 14 of moon strange things happen in the room where his body was kept … Most probably hunted as soldier claims but it is an unconfirmed report and has to see… But definitely a historical landmark and also a place of interest for the Sikhs of India and Pakistan.
