Liaquat National Bagh is situated on Murree Road in the city of Rawalpindi, Punjab. Pakistan’s first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated in this park and after this tragic event; this park was given the name of Liaquat National Bagh. Liaquat National Bagh is close to Arya Mohalla and Gordon College Road, which are the two well-known residential areas of Rawalpindi. It is the famous area of the old city and can be reached easily.
The great Pakistani Leader Benazir Bhutto was killed in this Park in a bomb blast. Liaquat Bagh is not an ordinary park; it has great historic values, although the memories related to this park are not the good one. Still, this park has its own worth and importance. This park is often used in past and still in present by our political leaders to address the public. This park is situated almost in the center of the city Rawalpindi. It is said that this park can accommodate about 100,000 people at one instance. There is no swing or rides in this park so children are not attracted towards this park.
Rawalpindi Press Club and Liaquat Sports Club are situated very close to Liaquat Bagh. Liaquat National Park is 24 hours open to the public.
