NISHTAR PARK also known as Patel Park, situated in the Manakji Street the area of Soldier Bazaar, Karachi. This parked named after “Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar” known as the main leader of Pakistan moment. Initially, the park was not in good health but after the fissure of 40 years the providence of this park is changed and JAMSHED TOWN is taking over the administration of this park and start renovating it.
This park also is known for religion and political gathering where known political parties of Pakistan have set up their ground to showcase their political strength, same is the case for the religious party where they are celebrating their religious events like MOHARRAM in this park. Initially, the park is not in good condition and presented a dessert look where the JAMSHEED TOWN took over the administration of this park and starting installing trees and plant in this park. This park is situated on 450 acres of land and after the concrete renovation the park showcase is real beauty where new jogging track is marked, swings and other recreational items are placed to entertain kids and families. At the time of evenings mostly families visit this place and amaze themselves with the good quality of surroundings and kids are enjoying playing cricket, football and especially basketball where this park has a very good basketball court. The administration also installed a surveillance camera to cater any asymmetrical activity and to assure to safeguard public safety.
This park is also the center of attraction because majority of the political parties and their legendary leaders are have been there like ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO,Maulana Bhashani, Shaikh Mujeebur Rehman, Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, Maulana Noorani were some of them also started their political career from this place, not to mentioned but our most famous cricket like Javed Miandad, and Hanif Muhammad also played from here.
